Dr. Kapil Bakshi is a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (FRCPsych). Kapil trained as a Psychiatrist at London and East of England deanery and is on GMC Specialist Register for General Adult Psychiatry with an endorsement in Substance Misuse. He is a practicing clinician and currently works as a Consultant Psychiatrist at a large Mental Health NHS Trust. 

Kapil has a Master’s degree in Leadership and Management from the University of Birmingham and was awarded the Elizabeth Garrett-Anderson award for Senior Healthcare Leadership by the NHS Leadership Academy. Throughout his career, Kapil has undertaken roles and responsibilities in both medical and education management such as Deputy Medical Director and College Tutor. He is an Executive member of the Royal College of Psychiatrist’s Eastern Division. He is also a Non-Executive Director at Recovery Focus, a large charitable organisation delivering care to people with mental illness and substance misuse.
