Speak to doctors
you know and trust

Our doctors can see you for a consultation, help you access the medication you need anywhere outside the US and give you reassurance and peace of mind, wherever in the world you happen to be. No need to worry about things getting lost in translation or wondering whether you’re speaking to the right person.

It’s just like seeing your local GP. Only in your hotel room, your holiday villa or in the cab on the way to your next meeting.

Get unbiased medical advice

At Doctor Care Anywhere, we are 100% financially independent. Our doctors do not have any additional incentives to refer you on or prescribe medications. They only have your best interests at heart and always adhere to the highest level of clinical practice. All your referrals letters, fit notes and written prescriptions are included in the cost of the service. So there are no hidden extra costs anywhere.

Avoid waiting rooms

The last place you want to be when you’re ill is stuck in a room full of other people who are ill. Especially when you’re away from home. By speaking to one of our doctors from the comfort of your hotel room or holiday villa, you’re guaranteed not pick anything else up.

See the same doctor (whether you’re in Bali or Birmingham)

Even if you’re away from home or out the country, you can choose to see the same doctor you usually do. Just book an appointment whenever you’re both awake.

Get the right treatment

You can pick up your prescription medication at a pharmacy in Europe, deliver your medication from the UK or Ireland or simply get the information you need to go and pick up the right over-the-counter medicine.

Look after your family (even if you’re not in the same country)

Whether your kids are away on a school trip, are off staying with their grandparents or you’re the one working away, you can still look after them if they get sick. Your child (with a designated guardian) can have their appointment with one of our doctors as normal and you can then access their notes and treatment plan after the consultation.

Frequently asked

Can I speak to a doctor when I am abroad?

You can speak to one of our doctors wherever you are in the world. Prescription fulfilment support is dependent on local laws but we will help as much as we can. In the UK and Europe, prescriptions can be fulfilled in any pharmacy.

Outside of Europe, our doctors will give patients advice on the best medication to pick up locally. In countries where local laws prohibit the medication you need without a local doctor's prescriptions, there is a delivery from the UK option to all our patients. Please note, these do incur often quite significant delivery charges and are subject to custom restrictions and delays.

How many international appointments can I have as part of my subscription?

If you have signed up for an International subscription, you can have as many appointments as you need during the period of your subscription.

If you have purchased a UK domestic subscription, you are entitled to two appointments per person in a calendar year.

Can I use my prescription internationally?

Patients who access our service through a pay-as-you-go subscription, an employee healthcare scheme or through an insurance provider can use the Doctor Care Anywhere platform internationally.

And if you're in a country that's a member of the European Economic Area (EEA), we can send your prescription through to a local pharmacy. Our admin team will let you know when your medication is ready, so you can collect it.

If you're in a country outside the EEA, we will provide advice on the best course of action. You will be able to collect your medication 'over-the-counter' in many countries, but we recommend that you seek local advice when seeking a trusted pharmacy.

Other countries are subject to strict regulatory rules and you may need a prescription from a local doctor before you can collect your medication. These countries include the Channel Islands, USA, Canada, Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong. Our doctors can recommend appropriate medication during your consultation, but we can't guarantee that you'll be able to source the medication without a local prescription.
