Advice on getting medication
when outside the UK

Fast and convenient prescriptions

Our GPs and Advance Clinical Practitioners (ACPs) can prescribe the medication you need during your consultation. You can then choose how to get your medicine:

  • Get it delivered to you at home, work or wherever you’re staying in the UK
  • Pick it up from your nearest local pharmacy within the UK
  • Keep a note of all your prescriptions on your patient record to access whenever you need to

Our GPs & ACPs write private prescriptions

Our clinicians can only provide private prescriptions. This means the cost of your medication can vary from the fixed-NHS rate. This price is determined by the particular pharmacy you use.

Please note that our GPs and ACPs will always try to prescribe you the most cost-effective medicine and will let you know if it's going to be expensive. As a rough guide, our top 20 UK delivered private prescriptions are less than £20 an item.

Resident of Great Britain, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man

If you are a resident of Great Britain, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man, you can use the service abroad. If any medication is required, We will confirm within the consultation notes within the app the type of medication required for you. You will be able to show the consultation notes to a local pharmacist to help facilitate the relevant medication being provided. This will be treated as an advice note and the decision to dispense lies with the local pharmacist, DCA has no authority over this.
