All of your interactions on Doctor Care Anywhere are accessible to you at any time. From your consultation notes, bookings, referrals, fit notes, and anything else you may have uploaded will be stored on your secure and confidential record. You can also download your consultation notes, referral letters and fit notes as a PDF and share with your NHS GP, insurer, employer and other healthcare professionals.
Yes, absolutely. However, if you suffer from hearing difficulties, we recommend that you book video rather than telephone appointments. We've found that people who are heard of hearing often benefit from video consultations as they allow patients to watch their clinician speak, which can help users with lipreading abilities.
We also offer a typing option in video appointments that allows you to communicate with your clinician via a keyboard. All advice, guidance and self-management recommendations are then published in your appointment notes, along with patient information leaflets and supporting links to other helpful information. This is all uploaded to your account approximately four hours after your consultation and is accessible anytime.
Depending on the outcome of your consultation, when you're in the UK you may receive an ePrescription, saving you the hassle of arranging a medication collection at a pharmacy. Your prescription will be available directly from your account after your consultation. Depending on your location, you can then arrange to have your medication delivered to your door or sent to any of our participating pharmacies so you can pick it up at your convenience.
Yes, please do! For visually impaired patients, we recommend calling our Patient Experience team on 0330 088 4980 who will be able to assist you in booking a telephone consultation. At the time of your appointment, your clinician will call you and consult with you over the phone.
Should you require any follow-up care, such as prescriptions when you're in the UK or specialist referrals, our Patient Experience team will call you after your consultation to explain how to best access your treatment and book any follow-up care.
