FAQs
Can I get a prescription?
Yes, both our GPs and ACPs can issue a private prescription (if appropriate) when you're in the UK.
Can I get a prescription on the NHS?
No, we can only provide private prescriptions as we are not part of the NHS.
Can I get a repeat prescription?
As we are not part of the NHS, we do not provide NHS prescriptions, including repeat prescriptions. However, we can provide one-off private prescriptions.
What is an ePrescription?
An ePrescription is an electronic prescription that offers greater convenience and safety compared to traditional printed prescriptions, as it can only be redeemed once.
Where can I collect my prescription?
You can collect your prescription at a local Boots Pharmacy, Well Pharmacy, Asda, Superdrug, Morrisons, Tesco or Lloyds Pharmacy along with any independent pharmacy. For more information on how to collect a prescription at a local pharmacy, visit https://signaturerx.co.uk/patient-guide/
Collection is not available outside the United Kingdom.
For prescriptions issued before 03/03/2026: You can select a local pharmacy to collect your medication in the Prescriptions section in your Doctor Care Anywhere account.
Can you email my prescription directly to me?
You’ll receive an email and SMS with your prescription ID and instructions on how to collect your medication or arrange delivery.
For prescriptions issued before 03/03/2026: You can view your ePrescription receipt and full prescribing history in the in the Prescriptions section in your Doctor Care Anywhere account.
Can you send my prescription to my local pharmacy?
Once your Clinician publishes the prescription, you’ll receive an email and SMS with a prescription ID.
- You can take this to any pharmacy, or
- You can choose to have your medicine delivered.
Collection is not available outside the United Kingdom.

Can I get my prescription medication delivered?
Yes, if you're in the UK, you can choose to have your medication delivered directly to you. Once your prescription is published, you will receive an email and SMS with a link to arrange the delivery option that suits you best.
For prescriptions issued before 03/03/2026: Select that you would like to have your prescription delivered in the Prescriptions section in your Doctor Care Anywhere account.
Can I get my medication if I’m overseas?
Prescription services are available only within the UK.
Can I get my prescription medication on the same day?
In most cases, yes. You should be able to collect your medication on the same working day as your consultation, depending on the time of your appointment and pharmacy opening hours and stock availability.
Same-day delivery is also available to patients in select London postcodes* for orders paid by 4 PM (weekdays) or 12 PM (weekends).

SignatureRx is the market leading private e-prescription system in the UK, enabling you to fulfil your Doctor Care Anywhere prescription at any pharmacy in the UK.
Signature Pharmacy is an online delivery pharmacy providing fast and free delivery for your prescription to your home or office. They offer a same day delivery service in London and next-day across the UK 7-days-a-week.
Is there any medication that you cannot prescribe?
Yes. There are certain medications that can’t be prescribed through remote clinical services.
These include controlled drugs (such as diazepam), strong opiates (such as morphine and tramadol), and medication that requires close monitoring (such as methotrexate).
Before prescribing certain medications, we may need additional information to ensure it's safe to do so. Please upload any requested information when prompted before your clinician appointment, as this could affect the outcome of your consultation.
What is the Click & Collect Prescription Service?
Our Click & Collect service allows you to order and pay for your private prescription online through SignatureRx Connect, then collect it from a pharmacy of your choice at a time that suits you.

How do I use the service?
Once your prescription has been issued, you’ll receive an email and SMS with your prescription ID.
- Click the link to open your prescription on SignatureRx Connect.
- Choose your preferred fulfilment method — Click & Collect or Delivery.
- For Click & Collect, select a pharmacy based on your preferred location, pay for your medication online, and confirm your order.
The pharmacy will prepare your medication and notify you when it’s ready to collect.
Do I need to register to use this service?
No. You don’t need an account to fulfil your prescription – just your prescription ID and date of birth, both of which will be sent to you once your prescription is issued.
If you’d like a more personalised experience, you can create an account and explore additional services offered by your chosen pharmacy.
How will I know when my prescription is ready?
You’ll receive updates by SMS and email throughout your prescription journey, including confirmation when your medication is ready to collect.
How long does it take for my prescription to be ready?
This depends on the pharmacy and stock availability. In most cases, prescriptions are ready within 24–48 hours.
Can someone else collect my prescription for me?
Yes. They’ll need your full name and date of birth, and may be asked to show photo ID if the medication requires it.
Is there a cost for this service?
No. The Click & Collect service is free to use. You’ll only pay the standard cost of your medication.
What if my medication is not in stock?
If the pharmacy can’t obtain your medication, they’ll let you know. You can then choose another pharmacy through SignatureRx Connect. Most medicines can be sourced within 24 hours if there are no supply shortages.
What if I need advice about my medication?
You can speak directly with the pharmacist when collecting your prescription. Alternatively, your chosen pharmacy’s contact details will be provided so you can ask questions about your medication, possible side effects, or how to take it safely.
Do you offer delivery as well as Click & Collect?
Yes. When choosing your fulfilment method, you can select Click & Collect or Home Delivery.
