From appointments to referrals, prescriptions and wellbeing tools, Nuffield Health Virtual GP takes care of things seamlessly.
You can choose to book a private GP appointment, or an appointment with one of our Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs) and access to our wellbeing tool, My Health.
This helps us identify you and keep your data safe.
You can use a passport, driving license, identity card or residence permit card.

The team of Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs) are all highly qualified in clinical practice and can help with a wide variety of health concerns and are your ‘go-to’ if you have a minor ailment or a flare up of illness. Advanced Nurse Practitioners appointments are available 8am to 8pm, Monday to Sunday - including public holidays.
What can our Advanced Nurse Practitioners do?
• Assess your condition.
• Diagnose and treat your symptoms, including issuing prescriptions.
• Plan any follow up treatment that is needed.
• If needed they can also refer you for further treatment.
You can choose the doctor you would like to speak with by video, or phone, at a time that fits into your schedule - not the other way round.
All our GPs are handpicked by us and are GMC registered, with at least five years’ experience of working within the NHS. They are specially trained in virtual consultations, which means you can feel reassured that your health is in safe hands.
Once you've activated your account, just login via your computer or download the app on your smartphone or tablet to book an appointment with a clinician. Same day appointments are available typically within a few hours.
You'll get an email and text reminder 10 minutes before your appointment is due to start asking you to join the waiting room. If you've booked a phone appointment the clinician will call you directly. Find somewhere quiet, comfortable and ensure you have a good Internet connection or clear cell phone signal.
After your appointment, your clinician will type up all the notes from your consultation and add them to your patient record.
With My Health, you’ll be able to explore our range of resources to support your health including tips for falling asleep and breathing techniques to reduce stress, as well as sections covering nutrition, physical activity, and relationships.
Most of the time you can get an appointment on the same day, usually within four hours*.
Appointments with Advanced Nurse Practitioners are available Monday – Sunday, including bank holidays between 8am and 10pm. If attempting to make an appointment outside of these hours, the next available GP appointment will be offered.

Firstly, it’s important to say we are not an emergency service. If you have a medical emergency and you’re in the UK, you should call 111 or 999 or go straight to your nearest A&E.
For non-emergencies, we can normally offer an appointment within four hours of booking, if not sooner. Most patients can get an appointment on the same day.*

Patients who access our service through a pay-as-you-go subscription, an employee healthcare scheme or through an insurance provider can speak to one of our clinicians wherever you are in the world for advice regarding their health concern.
