Talking to someone shouldn’t feel difficult
When you're struggling mentally, even taking the first step can feel overwhelming.
Virtual appointments can make accessing psychological support feel more manageable — whether that's speaking from home, during a work break, or somewhere you feel safe and comfortable.
You don't need a GP referral to access our mental health support — and for many people, talking therapy over the phone or video can feel less intimidating than attending face-to-face appointments.
If you're in crisis or need urgent support, please call 999 or go to your nearest A&E. You can also call the Samaritans free, any time, on 116 123.

Frequently asked questions
No. You can book mental health appointments directly without needing a GP referral.
A mental health practitioner is a qualified healthcare professional with a degree in mental health nursing. They are trained to support people experiencing challenges such as stress, anxiety, low mood, burnout and other mental health concerns.
Yes. Your appointments are confidential, and anything you discuss with your clinician or therapist will be handled privately and securely.
The only exception is if there are serious concerns about your safety or someone else’s safety. In these situations, the clinician may need to contact emergency services, a crisis team or another appropriate support service to help keep you safe.
If your clinician feels you would benefit from additional or ongoing support, we may refer you to our partner HelloSelf for further guidance and therapy support, depending on your needs and preferences.
Our mental health practitioners provide an initial assessment, guidance and short-term support for a wide range of concerns. If you'd benefit from ongoing talking therapy or counselling, we can refer you on to a private therapist through our partner HelloSelf.
A single appointment starts from £45. Ongoing support is also available through Care Pass membership, from £25 per month or £199 per year, which includes unlimited mental health appointments alongside GP and physiotherapy support.
