What we analyse
Is this assessment
right for you?
This assessment may be right for you if you’re feeling low on energy, have noticed weight gain or reduced fitness, or are experiencing changes in libido. It may also be suitable if you have a family history of heart disease or prostate cancer, are over 40 and looking for reassurance, or want clearer insight into your long-term health risks.
Why the Men’s Health Assessment is different
Many men’s tests focus on testosterone alone. Our Men’s Health Assessment combines three clinical stages to give you a more complete picture, with all results reviewed together by our clinicians to provide clear answers and practical next steps.
Your three-stage
Health Assessment
In-person venous blood testing by trained pharmacists
More blood, more biomarkers, deeper clinical understanding.
Professional physical
measurements
Blood pressure, BMI and vital signs taken accurately in person.
Doctor-designed medical questionnaires
Capturing symptoms, lifestyle and medical history for real context.
Find your pharmacy
Find a convenient pharmacy near you and book a time that fits your schedule. With 150+ locations across the UK, you’re likely to have one within a 30-minute journey.
Appointments are available within three working days, with evening and weekend options.

What the Men's Health Assessment checks
This assessment provides a comprehensive view of male health by assessing hormones, cardiovascular risk, metabolism and organ function. All results are interpreted together - not in isolation.
Includes testosterone, SHBG, prolactin, DHEA and thyroid function tests to assess hormonal balance and energy levels.
Measures Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) for men over 40 to help assess prostate health.
Includes a lipid profile (HDL and LDL cholesterol), blood pressure and QRisk3 Heart Age to assess cardiovascular risk.
Measures HbA1c and BMI to help identify early signs of diabetes and metabolic risk.
Uses liver function tests and a renal profile to check how well your liver and kidneys are working.
Includes a full blood count, iron studies and high-sensitivity CRP to screen for anaemia and inflammation.
Uses structured questionnaires to assess diet, exercise, mental wellbeing, musculoskeletal health and testicular awareness.

Men's health
assessment FAQs
You do not usually need to fast for this assessment unless advised otherwise. We recommend arriving well hydrated for your appointment, as this can make venous blood sampling easier.
PSA testing is included for men aged 40 and over. If you are under 40 and have concerns about prostate health, we recommend speaking to your GP before booking.
Your questionnaire helps our clinicians build a complete picture of your health, so your results are interpreted in context and come with clear, personalised next steps.
Yes, you can reschedule up to 48 hours in advance of your appointment. To reschedule, please call the Doctor Care Anywhere Health Assessment PX team on 020 4646 9390. Lines are open between 9.00am - 5:30pm, Monday to Friday.
A trained pharmacy professional will take your physical measurements - such as blood pressure and BMI - and collect your blood sample in a private consultation room.
Appointments typically take around 15 minutes.
Measurements such as blood pressure and BMI provide essential context for your blood results, allowing us to give you more accurate and tailored advice.
Posting the sample directly helps speed up the process. Sending it immediately after your appointment reduces delays and helps ensure your results reach the laboratory as quickly as possible.
To support a more seamless process, we recommend you make a note on the Royal Mail tracking ID on the parcel - so you can track the progress of your sample.
Once you have posted your sample and completed your questionnaire, your personalised report will usually be available within five working days of your appointment.
Yes. If any follow-up is needed, a clinician will contact you directly. If everything looks normal but you would still like to discuss your report, you can contact our dedicated Health Assessment PX team on 020 4646 9390 between 9.00am - 5:30pm, Monday to Friday to request a phone or video consultation. Treatment may be prescribed where appropriate.
If any urgent or significant findings are identified, a clinician will proactively contact you to explain what they mean and guide you through the appropriate next steps.
Your report will be available in your Doctor Care Anywhere account, and you can download or print it to share with your GP if you wish. It is not automatically sent.
No. This assessment is designed for preventative health insight. If you need urgent medical help, contact NHS 111, call 999, or attend your nearest emergency department.
