Assessment
FAQs
Your assessment uses venous blood sampling, taken by trained pharmacy professionals.
This allows a larger and more reliable sample than finger-prick home kits, enabling a wider range of biomarkers to be analysed and improving accuracy. It also ensures important measurements like blood pressure and BMI are taken correctly.
- Pharmacy appointments are usually available within three working days.
- Your results are typically ready within around five working days after your appointment.
Every assessment is reviewed by a UK-licensed Doctor Care Anywhere clinician before results are shared with you.
This ensures your results are interpreted safely and in the context of your overall health - not just presented as raw data.
All results are clinically monitored.
If anything needs attention, our clinical team will contact you directly to explain the findings and guide you through the appropriate next steps or treatment options.

Your report is written and presented to be as easy as possible for you to understand.
It explains what your results mean, highlights any risks and provides clear, practical recommendations.
We use a simple traffic light system to present the results of your markers that are assessed. These will be presented as follows:
- Green - within a healthy range
- Amber - a health area to monitor
- Red - follow-up recommended with a Doctor Care Anywhere clinician
Posting the sample directly helps speed up the process. Sending it immediately after your appointment reduces delays and helps ensure your results reach the laboratory as quickly as possible.
To support a more seamless process, we recommend you make a note on the Royal Mail tracking ID on the parcel - so you can track the progress of your sample.
